i remember you wrong

(2021-2023)

This series is a visual elegy for the loves that shape us and undo us. Each portrait was taken in moments of heightened emotion, when joy was real, infatuation felt certain, when connection was everything. But time distorts even the clearest memories. what once felt vivid and whole becomes fragmented, blurred by the weight of what followed.

The work reflects on the intimacy of connection, the way we entangle ourselves so deeply with another that our identities begin to merge. Closeness becomes confusion; who they were, who we were, and who we became together dissolve into something unrecognizable.

Through layered textures, shadows, and distortion, these images speak not only to the loss of the other, but to the quiet, aching grief of losing yourself in the process.

Each frame is a conversation between presence and absence, love and its afterimage.
