skydiver (2020)

Shot in 2020 at Allen Witt Rotary Skatepark in Fairfield, California, Skydiver is a mixed media collaboration with Virgil Abloh—a focused study of one skater defying gravity, moment by moment.

Captured in stark black and white, each image is a fragment of flight: a suspended instant where motion becomes myth. The series resists repetition—every page transformed by hand, every frame altered through collage, texture, and mark-making. Nothing is duplicated. Nothing is still.

Skydiver is less about skateboarding as sport and more about skateboarding as language—risk reimagined as form, movement turned into artifact. It is a record of the unrepeatable, and a meditation on the impossibility of staying in the air.
